Frequently Asked Questions

Find detailed information regarding our research peptides, order processes, and laboratory standards. Tetratide Labs is committed to providing high-purity biological reagents for scientific investigation.

What are research peptides?

Research peptides are short chains of amino acids intended solely for laboratory and research applications. Supplied for research use only, these substances are primary reagents used to study biological pathways and molecular signaling.

Who can purchase from Tetratide Labs?

Our products are available to qualified researchers and laboratory professionals. Products are supplied as research materials only, and purchasers must ensure they have the appropriate facilities and protocols for handling these materials within a controlled environment.

Are these products approved for medical use?

No. Tetratide Labs does not provide medical, veterinary, dosing or administration advice. These products are not approved for human or animal clinical use, medical diagnosis, or therapeutic treatment. They are strictly intended for laboratory and research applications.

How do you ensure the purity of your peptides?

Every batch of peptides is verified through High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) to ensure a purity of 99% or higher. We prioritize transparency in our scientific standards.

How should peptides be stored?

Because peptide materials can be sensitive to moisture, light exposure and repeated temperature changes, we recommend keeping vials in a dry storage environment and avoiding unnecessary freeze-thaw cycles. This helps support the molecular integrity, consistency and quality of the research material over time.

For short-term handling, keep products cool and away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight. Final storage practices may vary depending on the specific peptide and intended research protocol.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept secure payments via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), major credit  and debit cards, to ensure efficient procurement for your laboratory needs. All transactions are handled with strict privacy protocols.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we primarly focus on providing research reagents for South African institutions and labs. Please contact our support team to discuss specific logistical requirements for regional research inquiries.

What is the shelf life of your products?

When stored correctly in a freezer at -20°C, most lyophilized peptides remain stable for 24-36 months. As research materials, it is critical to ensure proper storage to avoid degradation of the molecular structure.

Can I return open products?

Due to the sensitive nature of research biochemicals and strictly controlled quality chain, we cannot accept returns on opened products. If there is a validated purity issue, please provide HPLC data for verification and replacement review.

Where can I see your full list of peptides?

Our complete catalog of research peptides is available in our online laboratory material inventory. All products are intended for research use only.
